the boys from maybole

In 1982, 13 boys and a clapped out double decker bus, left the town of Maybole to follow the Scottish national team to the World Cup finals in Spain.
The bus "Auld Reekie" was bought by the lads and kitted out to resemble a mobile home, with sleeping and living areas.
No one gave the bus much hope of getting over the border, never mind all the way to Spain. STV put a camera crew on board to follow the travels, and Auld Reekie didn't let the people of Maybole down.
"The Boys from Maybole" is a classic Tartan Army documentry and is sought after and very rare. You will soon be able to order your copy via this site.
You never know, if we qualify for the finals in 2008 then hopefully, there will be a bus leaving from Ayr, a clapped out double decker, painted blue with "WE HAVE A DREAM" plastered on the side.
All we need is to qualify, find a bus and couple of drivers who want a free ride to Austria and back.
